FontaineBleau Hotel – South Beach, Florida
Phase I coverage for 600,000 square feet of meeting rooms, indoor public areas, and “back of the house” areas
Phase II (future)coverage for oceanfront guest rooms and outdoor areas
The InterReach Fusion distributed antenna system (DAS) installed in Phase I is fed by rooftop antennas that capture the signal from nearby cell towers. In just ten days, Viable deployed three InterReach Fusion Main Hubs, nine Expansion Hubs, and 64 remote antenna units (RAUs) to distribute the signals throughout the property. This system covers the public areas, meeting rooms, and “back-of-the-house” areas in the hotel’s four towers. The system currently delivers 850MHz and 1900MHz service for AT&T and Verizon, and the hotel is in discussions with Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile.
In Phase II of the deployment, engineers will evaluate additional areas such as the resort’s oceanfront rooms and outdoor areas for potential deployment of FlexWave™ Prism outdoor antennas and additional Fusion products, as needed.
